Bird sites in Edinburgh, usually.
We meet at different birding sites in or near Edinburgh accessible by public transport.
We meet at 10.00am and usually birdwatch for about two hours, depending on the site and weather conditions. After that we have an optional visit to a nearby café, so we tend to finish at about 12.45.
Members of the group have varying amounts of knowledge and expertise, but many joined as complete beginners. Binoculars, warm, weatherproof clothing, and stout footwear are needed for most of our trips.
Timing: Monthly, third Tuesday 10:00am, excluding July, August and December.
