Committee organising Monthly trips out of Edinburgh.

This is a "Committee Group" that arranges monthly trips outside of Edinburgh. We welcome more members to this committee to help organise more trips.

The Visits Committee have booked the following trips for 2026:

  • 23 April - Bamburgh Castle
  • 28 May - Ceres and the Hill of Tarvit
  • 18 June - Loch Katrine (Sir Walter Scott) & the Trossachs
  • 24 July - Inverpeffray Library & Drummond Castle Gardens
  • 27 August - Abbotsford House
  • 24 September - Blair Castle.

Paying for Visit outings - Online

Starting from the 24 July 2026 outing, members will book and pay for trips online, using the booking platform Ticket Tailor:

  • Ticket Tailor allows you to quickly book your place using a bank debit or credit card
  • Your payment and place on the trip will be acknowledged immediately
  • You will be able to claim a refund if you change your mind more than 48 hours before the visit date.
  • Links to booking forms will be included in the event pages (see list below)
