Moderate walks in the Pentlands
This group is not for advanced walkers – the pace is somewhat slow. Where possible, we’ll tackle one hill at a time, although there are
occasions when it makes more sense to do two.
The hills will include a range from the lowest at 252m (Torduff Hill) to the highest at 579m (Scald Law).
Group members should bring a packed lunch. Walking boots are essential along with appropriate clothing for the weather. Walking
poles would be an advantage.
Buses: Bus stops at the Pentlands: 44 - Balerno, 10 - Bonaly, 4 - Hillend, 101 – Flotterstone, Silverburn, etc
Accessibility : Parking available. Toilets available at Flotterstone and Harlaw carpark (Black Hill). Toilet may still be closed at Bonaly. No toilet available at Silverburn.
