Interested in the Golden Age of Detective Fiction?
This group is aimed at keen fans of Detective fiction who particularly enjoy reading about the exploits of Golden Age Detectives such as Poirot, Miss Marple and Lord Peter Wimsey.
Golden Age Detective novels are 'whodunnits' predominantly from the 1920's and 1930's, often, although not always, featuring landed gentry and country houses, often with exotic locations. Suggested authors include Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Josephine Tey, G K Chesterton, Ellery Queen, Ngaio Marsh, to name a few.
It is up to Group members to decide which authors will feature in our discussions.
We meet monthly, with the first meeting in the Filmhouse on Lothian Road on Friday 24 April 2026 from 11.00am to 01.30pm. Subsequent meetings will be held on the fourth Friday of each month in the afternoon. Future venue still to be decided.
