Callander

Main Street has many shops and cafes where you can buy a picnic lunch to enjoy later. It is also home to the Hamilton Toy Collection, one of the largest privately owned toy collections.

Sir Walter Scott

This is a small steamship that has provided pleasure cruises on Loch Katrine since its launch in 1900.  Restored in 2023, it is the only surviving screw steamer in regular service in Scotland.  It has an open upper deck and covered seating too.

Aberfoyle

A village on the River Forth with Victorian architecture and an attractive main street with shops and cafes.  We’ll spend a pleasant hour here before returning to Edinburgh.

Logistics

Please arrive in good time for the Hunters coach which will leave West Register House, Charlotte Square at 9am.  We will go straight to Callander, where we’ll stay until midday.  We are booked on to the 1 pm sailing from Trossachs Pier for a one hour circular cruise of Loch Katrine.  Then on to Aberfoyle, leaving for our return journey at about 3.45.
