Monthly Meeting: “SCAA – A Lifeline for Scotland"

Talk by Damien Lloyd Payne

Damien Lloyd Payne spent 25 years flying helicopters in the United States. He has flown many different types of helicopter on many different mission types, most recently for Christiana Care in Delaware, where he flew medical helicopters of the type widely used in the UK for medical transport.

He now occupies his time volunteering, including for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, SCAA. https://www.scaa.org.uk/

His talk describes the vital service SCAA provides, focusing on the crew, equipment and missions.  At SCAA the mission is simple: to ensure that no one in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help can’t get there in time.  Their life-saving service is especially vital in Scotland’s most remote and rural areas.  As a charity, SCAA is entirely funded by the generosity of the Scottish public

There will be tea, coffee and biscuits after the talk.
