Ceres
Ceres is a charming village with many attractions, including the Fife Folk Museum, the home of Wemyss Ware pottery, Ceres Church and just wandering the streets. The community-run Village Cafe and the Coffee Shop both have good soup and sandwich menus.
The Hill of Tarvit
Built between 1904 and 1908, Hill of Tarvit was occupied as a home for the Sharp family for just 40 years before being passed to the National Trust for Scotland. Largely unchanged from when it was first designed by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer, it offers a superb glimpse into the rapidly changing years of the first half of the 20th century. Lorimer also designed the landscaped gardens, with formal lawns, yew hedging, flowering borders and a sunken rose garden.

We’ll leave Ceres at 1pm for Hill of Tarvit where we’ll divide into 4 groups, giving everyone time for the guided tour of the mansion and to enjoy the gardens.
