| Cost: | Free as much as possible, otherwise aiming for low costs. Each person will purchase their own ticket and pay for their own refreshments and transport (though most group members will probably have their own bus passes). |
This group will aim to have interesting, quirky, "out of the box" events, with the idea that if you don't do something now, the chance will be gone and you may lose the opportunity to ever experience it again.
Events may include talks on interesting subjects, visits to unusual places in Edinburgh including ones with historical, art or gardening interest, trips to and around waterways like the sea or canals, perhaps watching a play or a film, having a sample try out of a sport or recreation you've never tried and maybe even having the odd refreshment in a café.
Warning : events may involve walking, steps and may not always be totally accessible or low cost, though we will try for both. You will have the chance to be impulsive, to try something you've never even considered, and to just have a bit of fun. If you feel even vaguely adventurous and open to new experiences, why not give this group a try?
Buses: The aim is to visit venues on or near bus routes, mostly in Edinburgh, but occasionally further afield like North Berwick, East Wemyss or Culross
