Unique Walking Dance.
What is Tango?
Tango originated in Argentina.
Tango is a walking dance that involves 2 people and is entirely improvised.
Tango is the music!
What is Walking Tango?
It is a stress free way of joining a vast tango community, and involves (as the title suggests) simply walking.
The class focusses on walking and connection. There are 2 roles in Tango, leading and following, that everyone is expected to understand and engage in.
There is no upper age limit. No partner required. No particular level of fitness required.
Why Argentine Tango?
The health benefits of Argentinean tango are well documented, not only on a physical level for exercise and keeping the body fit but on a deeper level having a transformative effect on physical and mental well-being . Dancing reduces stress levels, increases serotonin levels and cognitive functions. Whilst this is true for all dances, studies have shown this to be particularly so with Argentinian Tango.
So why not come along and give this a try. You know you could. You know you should.
